The purpose of this book is to document a historical progression of the black church in Tuscaloosa and how it has evolved into what it is today. The saga of a stolen, raped, enslaved, and disenfranchised people who took the crumbs of their existence and produced a loaf of hope for their descendents is worth investigating.
