Rhonda Swan

Rhonda has spent her career as a journalist, working for twelve years as a reporter covering a variety of topics from local and national politics to social services, courts and religion. She has worked since 1999 as an editor. In 1997, she earned the reporter of the year award from the National Association of Black Journalists’ New England chapter.

She has worked as an instructor at the University of Massachusetts and Springfield College, teaching introductory and intermediate journalism courses.

In 2003, Rhonda published a book of poetry, Speaking My Mind …in Poetic Verse, and produced an accompanying CD by the same title. Her collection of poetry has been called a "timely volume that speaks well to some of the hot issues of the day," and she has been praised as a "refreshing, contemporary voice."

In July 2004, Rhonda self published her first novel, I Saw Your Profile. In January 2005, she signed a three-book deal with Black Pearl Books, which published I Saw Your Profile under the new title BUSTED in July 2005.

Ms. Swan is currently an assistant metro editor for The Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach, Florida. A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, she is a mother of three, two sons and a daughter. She resides in Riviera Beach, Florida.
